Melinda Sue Montgomery Baker 72 of Lanesville, IN passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Baptist Health Louisville.
She was born on December 16, 1951, in Jeffersonville, IN to Carl and Pearl McKim Montgomery. Melinda was a former office worker for I.C.I. of Americas in Charlestown and the United States Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, IN. She was a member of Pfrimmers Chapel Church in Lanesville. Melinda enjoyed working with the blanket ministry at her church, going to street rod shows with her husband, vacationing in Gatlinburg, TN, and Florida, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Carl Montgomery, Forest Montgomery, and Tami Shelton.
Survivors include her husband Steve Baker, son, Shawn Amburgey and his wife Stacy of Lancaster, KY; daughter, Shannon Seifried and her husband Greg of Jeffersonville, IN; sister, Becky Montgomery of Borden, IN; grandchildren Caitlin Amburgey, Kyndall Amburgey, Emma Seifried, Connor Seifried, and Paige Seifried; great-grandchildren, Isleigh Amburgey, Layne Trent, and Mylo Cobb.
Life Celebration Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Pfrimmers Chapel Church at 505 Pfrimmers Chapel Road N.E. Corydon, IN 47112 with burial in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church.
